In igulim/circle reality there is no mention of unions. Only in the yoshar/straight reality.

Moshe, though he came from the water, spoke with G-d face to face.

The sun in essence is not a light that illuminates darkness. It is light at the essential level. It is light for it's own sake. In the sun there is no concept of darkness. When this light of the sun comes into our dark world, it is a reflection of the true light of the sun. it is not the essential element of light, it is just a reflection. It doesn't represent the full essence.

p 42 ayinbase rebbe rashab

Why is there light in the sun? The sun has the element of standing not for a subjective reality, but rather for the universal truth – 'it is true here and everywhere'. So even where there is darkness, there can be light.

The soul is the essence of life. So it cannot dissipate. It knows not death. The body never has that exprience/quality even while alive. While alive it accepts the light of the soul and processes it. The life of the soul in the body, is just a reflection of the real life of the soul.

Essence from it's perspective does not know anything except itself. The concept of lifelessness in the soul does not exist, like the concept of darkness does not exist in the sun.

The body does not experience eternal life since the life of the soul comes to it through a tzimzum and only a derivative/subset comes to the body.

Igulim is higher in terms of recognition, but yoshar is higher in terms of essence. Igulim has no sense of independence. Igulim has an ha-arah. Even the metziut in igulim is just a subset, not a real existence, just an ha-arah.

Independence involves self consciousness.

The ultimate in yoshar is the human being. He is the ultimate in independence – 'a complete creation' – different methods were used to create the human and the animal. The creatures on the land in this context are like earth/sea/igulim. The human is an independent meziut.

Zivug/union represents and element of essence. And essence is such a light, that only a creation of this level could handle it.

In marriage there are 2 people. Each independent with their own intellect, emotions and reality. And yet they get together and can interact in a full unity, without one eliminating the other.

Each remains in full presence, yet within full unity. How is it possible? This is because each has a metzius atzmis.

This is a paradox, but can be understood if we look at where atzmus/essence/creation comes from. Two can become a union because there is a greater reality/purpose that surrounds them. They recognize that there is greater reality, but they don't lose their sense of self – the stay in yoshar, and do not revert to igulim.
