“Spirit of Wisdom” p: 169

AyinBase / Ayin Beis with R' Paltiel Wednesday 17 Tishrei 5772

Page 169 – about a quarter from the top of the page – (line starts, 'de-acharay hashem...') For text, see picture below.

The light of wisdom/chochmah is like the 'spirit of wisdom' - it substantiates and gives an element of reality.

There is light and an element of essence all the way down to the bottom level. This is accomplished by the 'spirit of wisdom/chochmah' becoming a 'something'.

Yet still the wisdom/chochmah is still in a state of cleaving/devekut to ohr ein sof (even though it is becoming a 'something'). And due to this it retains the element of ein/'nothing'.

Sight connects you to the reality. It connects you to 'what is there'. Note how it combines, something and nothing – there is the activity of 'seeing' yet it is nothing in that it is reality itself.

Hence there can never be a full description of what you saw. You can talk about what you saw, but never give a full description.

You cannot refute sight, because it is 'ayin/nothing' – it is true despite the questions. It is a reality.

This is the element of cleaving/devekut. This does not only mean that it is dependent on it, but the existence is it...
