6 lines from the end of the top paragraph of the page – (line starts, 'al yeday...') For text, see picture below.

After the tzimzum, the revelation is not that which becomes embedded in the tzimzum, rather it is a reintroduction of the light from before the tzimzum. That light returns, with an aspect of closeness – coming directly from its source. Not in a manner of akavah – being embedded.

Thus the revelation is of the same element and quality as the infinite light that precedes the tzimzum.

Even though we said the light from before the tzimzum cannot relate to world, since it doesn't have the element of 'not being, coming into being'.

The phenomenon of teaching/mentoring is giving light. He does not put a head on his shoulders. The student is a student and the master gives him ohr ha-sechel – light of mind. They are separate. A father gives his son his physical presence – real presence. The teacher gives him light – light that he cannot even fully comprehend.

The master/teacher has something very worthy that he wants to give. The impetus comes from the master/mentor. He gives himself. He wants this great gift to be shared. He wants to give the light he has.

All this above is a mashal/metaphor for the way the light is retracted and then reintroduced. The light is infinite because it comes from the ein sof.

Think of a host serving dinner to his guests. What is intended here? Not the food or alleviating hunger. He is sharing his presence. Without this there is nothing... it would be a reflection without the light.

This can happen in the modern techniques were a 'bottom line' solution is given... he can go out into the world, but it did not brighten his world... it is not sechel. This has its place only as a way to bring someone out of darkness, but this is just the first step, so he is healthy and can receive the mentorship that will follow...

The human element in the world is the G-dly presence. A human being represents a G-dly quality. There is no way to explain in worldly terms the situation of the host and his guest. It is based on a truth beyond world. It has nothing to do with function or benefit. It is present in the world due to the G-dly light that initiated the world and filters down into the presence of the world!
