וי״ל שזהו כמ״ש בתו״א בהבי׳ דוקבל היהודים דהמשכת האורות הוא

And we can say that this is what is discussed in Torah Or in the explanation of " v'kibul hayudim " that the drawing of lights is

ע״י הכלים דוקא וכמ״ש אין עוד כלי כו׳,

specifically through the kalim as it says " ain ode kli etc."

We discussed the principle of 'the rising of the feminine waters', which means initiative from below... this will be examined.

Light needs a pathway and a container...

The drawing down of light is by means of the vessels specifically and exclusively...

A woman came to Elisha. She had lost her husband who was righteous. She said she had no way to sustain herself. He told her to go and borrow vessels and lock to door. And she should pour the oil. The oil continued to flow till they ran out of vessels... This is a a demonstration of the way light comes only when there is a vessel.

Why is this? That is because the nature of light is to rise up and to be included in its source. Light comes from an essence. And because the illuminator, is an essence it has light. Thus for light to be recognized outside the essence, there has to be some reason connecting it to a functional state.

Light is a statement, 'this is an essence' so is is constantly rising upwards. Thus for there to be drawing of light outside, it has to be by means of a vessel specifically. The vessel sollicits the light. It gives it a reason to emanate.

This is the meaning of the 'Torah is called derech/way' – it is the pathway via which the light is drawn down. This is because via the Torah there are created pathways and vessels for the light to come down.

Light is present only in an atzmi (essence entity). Think of the sun. Where it is present darkness does not exist. The light represents the essence. Essence is not limited to its own place. It does not allow for anything other than essence.

The light wants to stay with the essence. There is nothing in the sun that compels it to present the light. It is the darkness that solicits the light. Then the light comes.

The light comes only because there is a vessel that can become light. Light is not seen in space. It needs to have a recipient to be seen.

Each mitzvah is a specific channel and 'download' of light. To the extent that there is humility/bitul in the engaging in Torah and mitzvahs, there will be drawing of the light...

By means of this humility/bitul the vessel draws the infinite light...

The light cannot rest, except in a place that is nullified to Him...

The revelation of light, is that it presents as a defined presence... The verse: “you should love your neighbor as yourself” is a revelation/gilui of the way the souls of Israel are sourced together – revealing the union of the Jewish souls...
