We said the sechel/mind of the master/mashpiah is the result of ratzon/will. It reflects that the master wants this mind. This is like the human primary want of 'wanting to be a human being'. And this is not for some other purpose, but to relate him to his Creator.

Being a human being lifts him to a status beyond what he is. Same thing in the mashpiah/master – he has a will – he senses the Godly truth.

By contrast the sun gives off light, but the sun does not 'want to be the sun' and give to the world, the 'wanting to be the sun'.

Stuff in the world starts with 'wanting'.

The 'wanting to be a human being' is contrasted with Darwinian 'survival' and wanting to 'be'. The ratzon is based on sensing that there is a Creator.

Wanting is superior to being. Our 'thought speech and action' of the torah and mitzvoth is infinitely superior to the nefesh itself.

We have said that light is different from shefa/flow. Shefa from the mashpia/master comes with great intent. By contrast the sun just happens to be giving off light.

Light and life of the soul/nefesh is just a reflection of the fact that the soul is alive.

The nefesh has an additional element. It is not bound by its activity – it does not 'have to do it'.

This shows that the giving of life to the body from the soul is not from the essence. The sun cannot with hold its light.
