Binah has the spirit of chochmah/wisdom, but it has the element of hishavut – the element of 'making it happen'.

Chochmah is beyond 'doing' – it is the sight of reality itself.

Thought is not a faculty of the soul. It is a garment of the soul. The garment is according to the size of the body... so the garment is only to account for the external dimensions... this is to say, thought accomdates the outer, 'performance' element of the soul.

And binah is similar to machshavah/thought (as discussed above).
