We are looking at how the lower elements are contained in their source. They are inspired and motivated from up above. This is a quantum leap from our usual perspective.

Ultimately inspiration comes from Him Himself, because he wants the world, because he wants a world that recognizes its Source.

We are saying that in the process of creation up to the highest world of atzilus, there are 2 distinct qualities. There is ohr/light – which is representative of the source, and there is vessel/keili – which is how this will come through to the world below it.

So in atzilus there are lights and vessels. The vessels are not tangible or defined. Nonetheless you can identify its presence. And the lights are beyond that.

Simple actions, like the hand drawing a line, is rooted above in the light that precedes the tzimtzum/contraction.

The lights come from the kav/line, which is rooted in the light that precedes the tzimtzum.
