Questions and comments:

What is understanding at the level of the vessels (hasaga be-ofen hakeili)?

There's a difference between light and daylight. Daylight is light at the level of chochmah. It is beyond the functional. You don't call it daytime cos you can see across the street. But the functional element of light is present.

So the same light can be dressed into a vessel.

There's the light that can become dressed into the vessel, and it has 2 aspects. There's the way the vessel takes it and there is the way it is at essence.
