Questions and comments:
We say there are 10 hidden sphirot within the ein sof, so we have a means to understand the implication in Eitz Chaim, that there could have been a revelation of the kav/line without it being preceded by a tzimtzum/contraction.
The kav is intended to reveal infinity, but in a way that can be accepted within worldly limits.
And how you could you have revelation of kav without the contraction/tzimtzum of the infinite light?
Alternatively, why remove the infinite light, why not just remove the excess light, why make it totally dark first? This is the question of the Eitz Chaim.
