World an Godliness are categorically different.

Know that there is a First Being. And how is He different from anything else we encounter? First Being has no cause for His presence, and our knowledge of Him is not due to any prior experience.

We know and relate to this type of truth due to emunah/faith. This means it is known dynamically, not due to a process.

There is nothing as clear to us as knowing Him. For everything else we have proofs and questions. He is beyond question.

Anything in world, by definition, has a cause.

Is not of a Primary presence


3 levela of ohr

The first two are in the Gdly category, rising above works phenomenon.

"Misnaaseh m'yemos olam"

Using world type explanations, we'd never be able to explain this truth.


Best illustration: Sight

In the nefesh - it is called Chochmah

Thia ohr-truth eludes Chochmah. It senses and relates to it but cannot explain/grasp it.

"You know what you don't know"

We can say that these first two levels are in general bhinas Atik and Arich. 


As explained earlier, the 10 sefiros hagnuzos are bhinas Atik of A"K (adam kadmon).


The light that we are discussing starts after Aliyas haRotzon. Within the Gdly realm (perspective) , there was an identifying element of the inyon of world, revelation. Many levels in this.


Light not onto itself, but within itself of presenting it to world, (with no world yet).


Although world and presentation/revelation is already recognized and desired...

Motsui Rishon, it all originates and represents the First Being. Is fully representative of Him.

Atik - representing source

Arich - representing how this is going to be expressed in world


One of the criteria for the second level, is that works cannot represent a dynamic truth without any details. 


Chochmah is where Gdliness is perceived and relates to. 

Sight is a limitless phenomenon.

Things are touched by their dimensions.

Sight is not dependent on dimension. See the reality itself.

Ex: see the sky. One expanse. No beginning, surrounds entire world. Yet, can see it in each direction. Still "dimensionable"

Why? Because it comes to us by the faculty of sight 


In order for something to register by us, it just be subdivisible.

This corresponds to Arich, how this infinity relates to world.

Why does it absorb and surround the whole world? It originates from beyond world.


Atik means Removed. Remote. But it's there!

You observe it but you don't know what you are observing. Can't grasp it.


Arich is where you recognize details and content but it is bigger than being understand. Arich means big. This bigness is representative of its source. It is not due to combining many different elements. It is big in essence. 


10 sefiros hagnuzos - 1st presentation of Rotzon, emenation as it is coming from the source itself. = Bhinas Atik of A"K.

The source overwhelms the presence of the 10 sefiros hagnuzos.

10 sefiros - the possibility of orderly revelation. (This is not sensed at this level) overwhelmed by source. 


Tzimtzum allows to focus on content of Ohr ein sof and not be overwhelmed by ohr ein sof. This is Arich. 


Is supreme to 10 sefiros at the same time is a makor for them. 


Ex: Sitting at a table. Need to go sit at a specific spot. Yet it feels like a natural perfect fit. Why? Because of the source of the concept of a table is much deeper in the source of Adam. Human defines the table and not vice versa. A dog is not impacted by the table at all.


This higher source is the cause for its (the tables) presence.
