For a new mindset [sechel chadasha] you cannot revert back to you former experience.  You have to rise up you vessels of mind, to relate to something to which you have not been exposed previously…

Without this elevation the vessels tend to say, ‘yeah.  I saw this yesterday’. 

And if something does not correlate to a previous experience you may tend to dismiss it… This tendency has to be overcome and the vessels elevated…

The is a moment of ’what could this possibly mean?’  Which is a gateway to the new insight.  

We are looking at the the difference between mind [mochin] and emotions [midot].
