A truth beyond contemplation leads a man to relate to divine truth - to relate to it in a true manner.  

He is drawn to this truth.  Drawn at a level beyond his own comprehension.  This is why there is complete negation of oneself.  The truth is rooted beyond his own experience.

Thus he has the pull towards complete union with the Creator Himself - this is what a Jew is.  United with the Creator in His environment.  And he considers himself unworthy.
