We are looking at the topic of nullification / bitul.
The bitul brings forth the king’s desire to rule, or God’s desire to create the world.
Bitul is total submission. The submission is unique to the Jewish people. It is based on a profound sense of truth.
The servant senses that real greatness is greater than anything he can conceptualize. And he wants to relate to this greatness. He says, “I want to align with that truth that is beyond me - total submission”
This arouses the master’s will to rule. And with this he can bestow his truth to the world.
“Man requires and seeks a divine significance in his activities.”

A human being is primarily his head and heart.
The head defines him and the heart connects him to the rest of the world.
The king is the heart of the people. He is part of his people. He is fully concerned with all the people of his kingdom.
A king is not just the sum total of the experiences of his people. The world is not developed from a worldly basis - it is a divine creation - it has a divine power that the world could never develop on its own…. a king is born as such - he is given that type of soul.
‘Kingship’ is not a worldly concept.
The king brings the level of head down to the heart - to the people.
The king brings something to the people that they are not even aware of wanting.
They get a king by virtue of their dedication. The are dedicated by virtue of his presence.
