The
sphirot are there not to represent themselves. They are there to
represent the truth.
There
are 10 sphirot on account of gilui/revelation.
Man
and the creatures that live on the land are connected to their
source, and they are aware of this source. This is the
nature of gilui/revelation. It is smooth, constant and conscious.
The
sea creatures have the same vitality, but lack the conscious
recognition of the source.
This
is to get a sense of an aspect of gilui/revelation.
This
open a different dimension in the recipient. These are the sphirot –
the 10 aspects involved in bringing a higher light to a lower level
where it becomes a conscious knowledge.
Every
gilui/sphirot by necessity must have sphirot.
This
is a level of revelation within essence. It is not designed to
express something to someone. It is just 'who I am'.
You
can build a humanoid robot, but life itself cannot be
replicated. Life has an infinite quality and it expresses itself.
This involves sphirot ein ketz – infinite sphirot.
When
Avraham Avinu came to the world there was a well-established social
order and idol worshipping culture. And he asked, 'where is the
Master of the world?' And what drew him to Him?
If
you enter a home and see the set-up, does it make you think of
furniture or the one who set it up? We care about the intent,
and that is the reality to which we relate.
A
table represents human status – human respect. And it has a
practical role.
And
when we say 'table', what comes to mind? A picture of a physical
item or its inner reality.
Chassidus
speaks on the level of inner meaning – on the level of true human
intellect, while of course there is a secondary practical level
too...
We
need to use our inner sense to know what the text/discourse is
wanting to say...
Fish
breathe in water. Man breathes on the land. Sense the difference.
Our reality is the reality identified by sechel/mind, not
circumstance or emotions.
