There is a first thought prior to any cause. It is the beginning of all.
It contains everything that will eventually manifest in the world.
Thus, everything in the world should be conscious of its origin… yet, this is not so.
The original thought makes them, but they are not aware of it. There is no correlation, and thus the creation can pursue its own path.
And yet the creatures receive vitality from Godliness.
We do recognize that we are bound up with Godliness, even while doing actions contrary to His will….!
The means to receive this vitality is humility [bitul].
It is the vessel [keil] for receiving this vitality.
We relate to ‘the gift of life’, not the next breath.
