Think
of 1+1=2. There is a difference between saying it is two1's or it is
2.
Two
is a new reality. Even though two one's is true.
You
can walk to a holy place and have no sense of your destination. You
can walk to the right address and still not be there...
The
point of knowing that lights are dressed into vessels is that we
should know that real thing is lights...
The
principle of 2 is based on the fact of a relationship.
There
are billions of people in the world. They all come from one. They
correlate.
Two
one's is not true, it is just a statement of fact. Two is a truth.
We've
been talking of the ohrot/lights. They come from above. They are
not the result of experiment and experience.
The
table has many pieces, but it represents the singular human spirit.
A
man is complemented by a table. That is ohr. Light. Human
intellect. The table represents a soul reality. It also has a
practical function. But it is never fully described by its function
– it remains a human item!
Light
is a reflection of the human soul. All aspects of human life are
reflective of this. If a man eats 'walking in the market, he is
likened to a dog...' His behavior must reflection the human soul.
So
you may think ohrot/lights are simple – because they are coming
directly from the soul, but there are in fact 10 distinct lights...
The
light is not infinite. There are 10 lights, although we do not note
a distinction between them, Sefer Yetzira tells us so.
And
in truth there are distinctions between the lights that we can
discern.
And
if the lights were simple/infinite they could not be embedded into
vessels.
They
have a high degree of infinity, but if that infinity was 100% it
would not allow for investment in a vessel.
Indeed
the soul is Godly and infinite. And then it is dressed into the body
and starts to retranslate itself... into human terms like 'human
dignity' which acquires a worldly definition.
