There is a first thought prior to any cause.  It is the beginning of all.

It contains everything that will eventually manifest in the world.

Thus, everything in the world should be conscious of its origin… yet, this is not so.

The original thought makes them, but they are not aware of it.  There is no correlation, and thus the creation can pursue its own path.

And yet the creatures receive vitality from Godliness.

We do recognize that we are bound up with Godliness, even while doing actions contrary to His will….!

The means to receive this vitality is humility [bitul].

It is the vessel [keil] for receiving this vitality. 

We relate to ‘the gift of life’, not the next breath.

We blind ourselves to truth by testing true insights by empirical standards, we say, “let me touch it” or, “prove it”.

Humility [bitul] is the great prerequisite to receive vitality [chayut] from Godliness [elokus].

This is because the Godly vitality does not consist of any worldly presence.   

The First Being, has no ‘worldly-level’ definition…

The humility [bitul] is not the subjugation element, it is rather the elimination of barriers that prevent Godliness reaching you…

And if you try to grasp this vitality, you lose it…!

God creates the world by His thoughts…

In this world, every human activity needs a ‘what is this about’ - we do not function in a vacuum.

There’s a life embracing us top to bottom… from thought to action… the life element is the divine will that there should be a world.

We don’t realize the extent that we are conscious of His presence and how the world is a divine miracle. 

All we invent is already contained the divine thought of the world.

If the world was finite it would not last.  The finite world is infinite - it carries the infinite will of its creator.

He provides it.  He gives man full jurisdiction.  And yet He knows all.

We are looking at ‘something from nothing’…

Something that comes into being without a source.

This is His realm alone.

He is the First Being.  Nothing can be said of His origin.  He is the presence that ‘needs not to be brought forth’.  Why?  Only things with a limited presence have an origin.

You have choice.  The tree can only grow in one direction - it can only be in one place.  The animal too, only knows of its own experience.  It has no element of choice. 

The animal has no concept beyond the physical sphere.

A human being has sechel/mind.  He draws on a level beyond the physical.

‘Choice’ is being in the world, but not choosing based on worldly calculations.

The specific details and reality of life on earth is deeply affected by being surrounded by the sky/makif…

The makif/sky provides a higher perspective, even while treading on earth.  Do I relate to the earthly challenges, or my overall perception of reality which is on a shamayim/makif/surrounding level?

There are levels of mind / sechel that doesn’t have or need proof.

‘Open your eyes and see it all’.  The reality will be seen.  With closed eyes there’s no comparison. 

What is the source of this knowledge?  

Mind/sechel is a reduction from oneg/pleasure.  Without the underlying pleasure you have a flimsy fact at best. 

So your understanding is based on ‘feeling good about it?!’  To answer this think of language acquisition:  a language learned later never reaches the effect of ‘the mother tongue’, which references the reality he knows.

As an infant or child you have ’total comfort’ in the environment.  This is his pleasure that he relates to personally.

Boredom is a great suffering.  It is caused by losing track of your purpose and reality and ‘perfect comfort’ in who and what I am.

Sechel/mind is pleasure/oneg at the reduced level.

And the world is imbued with God’s pleasure.  And he gives it to us.  It is His presence.  

The world is not based on the inadvertent development of an atom… rather it is created by His pleasure.

With open eyes you see the divine pleasure in the world.  

The pleasure is part of your soul.

Without of the right of being every step is a battle.  He has to argue his every step.  The makif provides a ‘right of being’ that welcomes him into the total reality.  And he functions there without hindrance…

And because he’s being provided for he may loose track that there is a Provider.  

Indeed the world is built for him.  

But he retains cognizance of the makif/maker.

And by virtue of his humility he is able to receive Godliness.
