We
are saying that there is a disctinction between the light of mind and
the vessel of mind. The light is devoid of any of the tangibility.
The
angels grasp the essence of spirituality (mehus haruchni).
To
describe the physical you don't have to resort to comparisons. You
don't have to say, 'well wood is more dense than air', you just
describe it. The ruchni/spiritual level is only understood in
contrast to physicality or to another level of spirituality.
We
have a direct sense of physicality, but even the contrast between
concepts and emotion can be fairly challenging, and we resort to
contrast.
We
have souls, but they are dressed into the body. Only that which the
brain can tolerate is what we can relate to and that is not the
actuality of the spiritual (mehus haruchni).
The
light of the concept (ohr ha sechel), identifies the soul element in
the concept.
The
Garden of Eden is the place where He comes and sits with the souls
learning Torah.
