“Sunrise” p:72(18)

AyinBase / Ayin Beis with R' Paltiel, 20 Tevet 5775

Page 72(18)

At about midway into the page – (line begins: 've-hagum...') For text see below.

The light of the soul is 'dressed' in particular vessels. For example the 'home' – it is what expressed the reality of the person on the worldly level...

Sechel/mind recognizes demarcation of location.

We learn Torah not on the basis of world and personal experience. We strive to see what Torah is telling us directly.

The light is dressed in the vessel and relates to it. It functions according to the limits and form of the vessel...

Yet is it not transformed to the essence of the vessel.

The human element is the real thing. It is a secular view that all of the world is meaningless. We say the mountains and rivers praise God. We see life beyond the form. We see the world is intended.

The earth is a Godly creation and hence it is a full fledged presence and reality. The human being is uniquely Godly – he is made by the hand of God and then his soul was specially blown into him. The human is not just a physical presence – his presence is Godly.

Although the soul functions in the body, it is not transformed to the reality of the body.

Sechel is an amazing gift – it is the ability to perceive a Godly truth within the worldly level. Sechel is dressed in the body, but is not given over to the reality of the body.

There is no physical definition of life. There is none. Life is not changed to fit the essence of vessels.

Mistakes follow from a choice. Will I acknowledge that I did not make the world? I cannot know the world independent of its Creator? Or will I say that I can define the world and the things in it according to my preference?

The world is not my store and I don't decide the price of all the merchandise...

“A Real Cup of Coffee” p:72(18)

AyinBase / Ayin Beis with R' Paltiel, 18 Tevet 5775

Page 72(18)

At about midway into the page – (line begins: 've-hagum...') For text see below.

Ohr pnimi / inner light is when the light relates to all the details of the vessel... so for example when you do an act of kindness, it is part of the sphirah/light of chesed itself.

Do you stand for something or do you come into existence when something pricks you? You are like a cup of coffee. You were brought into existence intentionally. Do you see the Creator in the world or just the world. Is the human body a composite of cells and tissue, or representative of Him? Man was created with a task at the moment of creation... This is the element of mahus – real presence – the purpose and him are one thing.

The light of the Creator can be dressed in a vessel, and thus it gives the vessel a level of reality. The reality is due to the light.

The soul is dressed into the body and accomplishes things on the body level. The soul can understand on that level. The soul alone is above time and space. And the body knows nothing of the soul. The soul is embedded in the body and moves it. The soul keeps its own perspective and accomplishes on the body level. The soul has a place it wants to be – the destination carries him.

A human being is not a presence unto himself. He has a purpose from the moment of birth...

It is due to a command from above that light and vessel (body and soul) can join.

By itself the soul would not relate to body, and the body would not relate to soul...

The light is not limited by the envirnoment where it is effective...

“Beyond Grasp” p:72(18)

AyinBase / Ayin Beis with R' Paltiel, 17 Tevet 5775

Page 72(18)

At about a third into the page – (line begins: 'umekol makom...') For text see below.

The vessel conceals the light that it contains.

The light however is not grasped by the vessel... Since the light as it is in the world of atzilus has no limit to its expression, even though it becomes imbued in the vessel/keili, it does not acquire the identity of the vessel.

There is no way the human quality of the human soul can be 'captured' or grasped by identification of how he functions...

The will/ratzon encompasses the entire human spectrum of human faculties. The vessel reveals the faculty and the light, but it is not made by the vessel.

The light is not limited by the vessel. This is like a man driving. The car is limited to going right and left, but the man has a destination in mind. That element cannot be captured by the vessel. The light does not lose its significance.

“Beauty” p:72(18)

AyinBase / Ayin Beis with R' Paltiel, 16 Tevet 5775

Page 72(18)

At 6th line of the page – (line begins: 'bechochmah...') For text see below.

We are discussing the 'levels in light' even though the light is essential. The levels indicate the degree of revelation.

The light seems to have descended to a level where functionality seems to give it a presence. You see the light through the vessel... The light is reduced and the vessel is refined. A synergy.

In chochmah/wisdom the vessel is so refined that it is hardly noticed, and thus the light comes through with its full reality.

“Cup of Coffee; See What There Is” p:72(18)

AyinBase / Ayin Beis with R' Paltiel, 15 Tevet 5775

Page 72(18)

At 5th line of the page – (line begins: 'begilui...') For text see below.

Wisdom/חכמה, too involves 'light in a vessel' although you may ask, 'where is the vessel?'

In chochmah the vessel is very refined. It is almost non observable. For this reason the light shines there with great revelation. It is so great it seems self substantiating.

Chochmah always goes to the reality of things. It continually seeks to reconnect to this reality, that is not function and experience dependent...

The greatest pleasure for a person is to perceive chochmah/wisdom! This gives life and strength. Food, is just to ensure the body does not dissipate.

A baal tshuvah comes from a life focused on a life of physical experience. And then he abandons it and goes for the truth.
