“What is the fundamental truth, ‘yes, or no’?  ‘non-existence or existence’?  ‘presence of non-presence’? ‘is life real, or is it a show of force’?”

Humility [bitul] is effective to the point that one receives vitality from Godliness [chayut mi’elokus].
There is not limit to the depth of vitality from Godliness [chayut mi’elokus].  It is from a source that precedes everything.
It is outside worldly definition.
How do we relate to it?  We are merely recipients of it.  This is contrary to our self-perception of being ‘knowers’ or experienced or worldly.
If we have this humble stance then we can receive vitally from Godliness.  We can have Godliness as part of our being.  A vitality that does not dissipate.
Worldly vitally is basically physicality and being effective in worldly terms.
Soul vitality is measured by the extent one can cleave to elokus [Godliness] and how well the concept of elokus [Godliness] settles in one’s mind…
To identify the Godly vitality one needs to discount fully the physical over emphasis and focus in on what, ‘being here, means’.
