line from the top of the page –
(line
starts, 'bah koach...') For text, click here.
We are talking about
the kav – the end of the line – the way it is in malchus of
atzilus. And this is how malchus stays connected to the sphirot
above it...
The kav/line has the
element of infinity, and infinity joins everything.
All of existence...
everything... physical and spiritual... must possess one reality in
it... the truth of His presence. Without that there is no presence.
The lower levels...
the worlds of 'biyah' do not relate to this reality directly... You
are hungry and thirsty and you soul seeks the holy spark that is
hidden in the food. You eat not due to your stomach. That is the
soul truth. But in the 'worldly' level, we are hungry because we are
living and the body wants food...
The reality
remains... your stomach rumbles for food and the man feels pain. But
the stomach is not in pain, the life element in the man feels it, and
the stomach distracts him from his desired occupation... The pain is
not the issue, but the sense that in life there should be perfection
and that the inadequacy in existence and this is the underlying
element of pain...
If the world is an
inadvertent creation, why does it exist. It is His will that gives
the world life.
The world represents
a profound truth. It cannot, not be. This is the meaning of 'the
kav/line is enclothed in biyah, truly' (biyah is the 4 lower worlds).
The world is a real
entity due to this. The world is not aware of the import it
contains.
Chochmah/wisdom is
the recognition of truth of all things that you apprehend...
It is the kav/line
that bind the malchus (presence of the King) with the infinite light
that is completely beyond presence.
Similarly the
kav/line serves 2 functions. Just like the network of pipes contain
deep wisdom, connecting all points while not wasting, so too the kav
ensures light comes to the places of holiness... The kav/line is
pure holiness and it guards the light...
