We
are going into detail about the pathways of the kav/line. This is
all to describe the meaning of derech hashem – the way of hashem.
The
point is not just to get a picture of the multiple branches and
multiplicity... the point is to understand the function of bringing
the ohr/light, and the way that the immediate source has a
relationship with the vessel that it is filling.
This
is like the way a faucet fills a cup. It is according to the volume
of the cup. This way the vessel is not overwhelmed. There is a
relationship between the supply and the recipient...
And
the above points are being explained by the Rebbe in Kabbalah terms,
explaining the relationship between the giver and the recipient...
As seen in the metaphor of the guest at the host's table, 'you have
your food and you know where you got it from'.
It
is not just that there is an infinite supply of light so 'let it go
where it goes, no there is a direct
intent, and
that is why it is measured precisely'.
The
kav/line is from the light that, 'returns and shines' after the
tzimzum, and this is due to the intent of the Mentor/Giver.
This
is the meaning of 'G-d is righteous in all His ways...' the term
righteous refers to the sphirah of yesod – an intentional giving...
The
principle of conduit/tzinor and derech/way is the same...
A
derech/way is a way to pass from city to city – there and back...
and on a big highway you are enabled to arrive at many cities, by
using smaller service roads that branch off from the main highway and
arrive at many destinations.
The
derech/way is a facilitator and connects the various cities. But
the main thing is the person who takes the road and walks upon it.
So too with the conduit – the principle is the water that flows
through it, which is sourced in the infinite great river.
