The creation of the
world is based on the union of chochmah/insight and
binah/understanding.
This is the same as
the union of ein/nothing with yesh/something. The something has no
real presence till it is provided by the 'nothing'/ein.
The faculties that we
have (walking, talking, thinking etc), have no real significance unto
themselves whatsoever. Their significance is what they draw from
above that makes them real. There is a spirit that makes them real.
The spirit is the nothing/ein that makes them real.
If a person is bored,
can't he walk around or throw pebbles into water? But that has no
significance. Without the spirit, the something is not real. When
the spirit informs the activity then it is very satisfying...
The creation has to
continually remember that it is coming from the truth of ein/nothing.
If we become oblivious to what we are doing, and just focused on
the action, this is hiding...
“I worked with a
doctor who graduated high in his class, but had no sense of what he
was doing.” If you don't appreciate what you are doing it is
useless.
Inside the text: the
creation in an active state is from malchus of the world of atzilus.
Yes, there is chochmah and binah, and we will see the difference
between binah and malchus...
Malchus (the lowest
sphirah) is the nothing, that is the source for the something...
The principle of
'coming into being' (his-havut), is where you start to see 'things',
and it is based on action, rather than just being there, by virtue of
being connected to its source. And action takes place outside...
externally... and where is an external place if you are talking of
Godliness?
Think of language.
It goes all the way down to the level of letters. And letters are
presence without meaning. And that's what creation is... you get out
of bed by action, not by thinking about it...
There is creation on
an external level, yet it retains its connection to what is above it.
Any normal human
action (not driven by fear and self preservation) is based on the
inner knowledge/chochmah, that, 'there is a King in the world'.
We live in the King's
domain, not in a jungle or an empty vacuum.
'Everything comes
from you' is totally wrong. Nothing comes from you. It comes from
Him. Through you.
You are not driven by
fog (f.o.g – fear, obligation, guilt). You have a soul. You are
not compelled. You have a soul that is expressing itself. Kabalat
ol / accepting the King is the source of life. Full life. Accepting
Him is the height of intelligence.
