In
the Torah are 3 levels – desert, settlement and field. At the
giving of the Torah a special element was revealed, which can only be
described as Essence/etzem.
Torah
is something that is internalized into the person...
The
desert hides its significance. It seems to be a wasteland. It
corresponds to the 10 hidden sphirot.
It
is the hidden elements. In the 'time to come' there will be a grasp
of essence (hasagahs hamahus). Comprehension of the
incomprehensible...!
The
'settlement' corresponds to an understanding of Godliness to the
extent that human mind facilitates... with understanding and
pleasure.
The
'field' does not have human settlement. But the field is for the
sake of the settlement. The purpose of the field is to support the
settlement.
The
desert corresponds to fulfillment of mitzvoth without the desire to
relate to their meaning and intentionality. Rather just to fulfill
His will.
This
is going beyond one's personal experience. Here one goes beyond his
own experience and His sechel to the level of just doing on account
of His will.
