There
is desert, settled, and cultivated land. The Torah in general can be
referred to as a 'human structure'.
This
indicates that Torah is an aspect of 'pnimi', which is the unique
attribute of man.
Man
identifies and 'digests' his perceptions – he internalizes things.
This
is the difference between Torah and Mitzvoth. Mitzvoth are 'His
supreme will' and this is makif/surrounding.
Will
is a surrounding element and is beyond any boundaries or obstacles.
Torah,
by contrast, corresponds to chochmah – and inner light – a light
that is dressed in a vessel – it relates to the details of its
environment.
The
'desert' inside Torah corresponds to how it is in the 10
hidden/treasured sphirot.
A
treasure is something that has a value beyond its immediate,
functional level.
