The world of briah is applicable only when there is hischadshut/novelty. Something new that did not exist previously. Thought is a hischadshut. Speech is not a novelty – it comes from thought.

Thought and speech correspond to sea and land creature respectively.  

They are different types of creatures.

On the land the creatures stand independently. In the sea the creatures are absorbed therein.

The serpent/snake was cursed. And lies on the ground. It is the most secure – it cannot fall. But this is a curse because it is not separate from the ground – it's relationship to Above is severed.

In truth everything comes from the G-dly truth. All the creatures are representative of the original truth. The sea creatures are also the expression of truth, but they did not yet become entities unto themselves.

The distinctions and differences identified between land and sea creatures can only be identified with sechel and not with your hands. In malchus de atzilus, we say it is heder hametziut (no entities), yet everything exists there! What do we mean, 'it is there and it is not there!?'

Malchus encompasses everything. All the things in one's home are there for a purpose – then there is the home itself. The home is not just the place for the objects. The home is not a storage place to keep things. On the contrary – 'because I have a home, that's why I have all these things.' The home entices one, and facilitates all the stuff/objects. The home represents the malchus of the individual. The home is the essence and impetus – this is like malchus/briah/thought.
