“Your Soul is not a Means to an End!” p: 50

AyinBase with R' Paltiel p: 50 8/1/11 Monday 1 MenachemAv 5771

Page 50 – 4th line from the end of the page.

The soul has faculties and strengths that cannot be fathomed.

How do we know these things exists if we can't relate to them? There are 2 ways to address this. One is by proof which is peripheral. But secondly if we have a soul, where do we experience it? Even the fact that you can conceptualize truth is already a proof. Relating to the Torah view of the world is not worldly – it is a soul reality.

This is an immediate truth that we live with. We have stories from our Rebbe – miracles and actions unbounded by worldly measure. One hears these stories and it may drive you crazy. Why don't we go crazy? Because we can relate to them – we live in a G-dly world.

Souls are true and infinite. They go down from world to world, till this lowest world where they are dressed in a physical body. Thus the soul can no longer function independently of the body, but within the limits of the body. The body is limiting the realizations that the soul can experience. In the world per se there is not a direct recognition of G-dliness. Yet everywhere and in every world the soul does not change at essence. This is the miracle. Aynah mshtneh betzem hehutah!

You may think enlivening the body becomes the souls definition, but no, while in the body the soul remains a G-dly entity!

The souls are all part of Him and can thus undergo this journey. All the souls fit with each other and have one Father.
