We are looking at the various types of creation/revelation.

The soul we saw is not really a separate creation.

A creation is 'something from nothing' (yesh mi ein). Something from something, is making something from existing material. You have a thought and then you speak it out. The speech is like a new creation – but actually is is something from something – the words are drawn directly from the thought, even though they do not seem to be present there.

Thought is an action. The sechel/mind is light of the soul, and it is translated on a lower level as an action. Thought has this level of organization. And speech too is a presentation of that organization.

Something from nothing is kind of super worldly. You land up with a real presence, but you cannot trace it to its source. What gives it a presence?

We don't have the ability to make something from nothing...

but when we speak it is like something from nothing... you hear the words someone speaks, and from this you draw the speaker's sechel/mind... this is like a metaphor for something from nothing... you hear the words and see the speaker, and it is like something from nothing.

The real something from nothing is a Godly creation. You see this real world and you don't see the Godly spirit that makes it...

It is like a miracle that the world is here, but it is only a reflection of Him. By contrast, He is actually represented in souls.

When we say Godly, we mean an original presence... and only He can create something from nothing. Only He can make something without an explanation for its being. He suspends the word in nothingness.

When you see a creation in the world, you don't see Godliness. You see the object. But the presence of the object is so fundamental, that it presents the question, 'how can such a thing be here?' and you answer, 'oh it is a Godly force'.

Souls by contrast give direct testimony of Godliness. Objects allude to Godliness. The souls announce Godliness.
