(line
starts, 'al yeday...') For text, see picture below.
The
Rebbe is explaining the two ways light is revealed. He is comparing
the parsah and the tzimzum.
To
understand this one needs to look at the light as it was prior to
each of these.
Before
the tzimzum you have 'ohr ein sof' the original primal light, that
has no relationship to worlds...
World
vs G-dliness; worldliness comes into being. It represents
multiplicity and interaction. One thing base on another – cause
and effect. There is no essence in world. Everything in the world
is based on multiplicity. The sky is reminiscent of a
singularity... in a certain sense the sky does not lend itself to
worldly comprehension.
So
the primal light has no relation to this.
By
contrast the light before the parsah is already in atzilus – a
level called – 'a G-dly world' with vessels and light and 10
sphirot. But they are totally imbued with G-dliness. It is light
that does not need to be withdrawn and then reintroduced. It already
has a relationship to world... it jus goes through the
parsah/curtain to the worlds below it...
