We are talking about
Torah. We are saying Torah is refered to as 'tzalmeinu/essential
form', since it comes from His chochmah.
This is chochmah that
is part of the essence itself. From the level where there is just
His knowledge of Himself.
Knowledge acquired by
personl experience is not really sechel/mind. 'cos this is something
superimposed on the mind. Reactive knowledge is not knowledge. The
basis of all knowledge is to recognize, 'there is a First Being. All
emanates from Him'. Without that everything comes to us by personal
experience forcing itself on us.
If you walk into a
wedding hall. Your wisdom tells you of the event. The tables and
chairs are just there to facilitate the event. It is knowledge that
identifies from its own reality.
If you chance upon a
situation of destruction or disarry it does not represent the
chochmah/reality principle. Chochmah indicates significance and
something worth knowing.
For us chochmah is a
faculty coming from the essence. But above, there is a primal
chochmah. Ratzon/will and oneg/pleasure are the truth of the soul,
but it is subjective. Chochmah is the truth because it is true, not
because it is 'I'. In chochmah therefore is expressed not only the
richness of the essence, but the truth of it.
Chochmah/wisdom is
the source of life. What is life? It is not a composite. It is the
presnce of the living God. That's life. Where can that presence
be? Only in chochmah. Only chochmah allows for truth. Only
chochmah is self effacing. Everything else has a personal
experience. Not chochmah.
Chochmah does not
seek. It just identifies with the Godly truth that is omnipresent.
