The soul and the body have no natural correlation, yet the soul joins with the body, to the extent that it provides a level of life and inspiration to the body...

And it provides light even though it is the nature of light to be absorbed in its source...

Light is representative of its source. It does not have an agenda of its own.

In chochmah/wisdom there is pure light – the way it comes straight from the essence. In binah it is dressed in vessels. The light points to the essence – it points to that which is not a metziut (thing unto itself).

The soul provides 'natural life' to the body (chaim tivi'im).

The truth of the world is from Him. He wants it. It doesn't have a negative aspect. But in a worldly setting we see by contrast and definition. In reality though 'He said and it was' – this is beyond nature.
