The
gibor/mighty one overcomes challenges.
One
who is a gibor in chochmah/wisdom, is capable of bringing out a
sechel even if it is concealed within the subject in a deep way.
At
first glance you cannot even tell there is any sechel present. But
he finds it and brings it to revelation.
He
can stand up to any helem ve hester (concealment and obfuscation).
In
today's world this is very relevant. There is an approach that is
opposing sechel/mind. It strives to 'demystify' the sechel it
encounters.
Sight
is a miracle/Godly phenomenon. You relate to a physical object
without even coming close to it – miraculous. But the secularist
will demystify this and describe it all in terms of cause and effect.
But human sight is unrelated to the 'sight' of a camera.
Sight
tells you there is something real. Truth in the world. You raise
your eyes and see 'who created these'.
Walking
is a faculty. It is not just an inadvertent result of moving the
legs! And being a faculty it means it is a faculty of the soul –
soul walking...
And
the fact that it is a soul faculty is hidden behind the physical
facade...
By
going to the greater depth, then the sechel/soul element is seen...
Inside
the faculty of walking is the spirit of moving from place to place,
and this is what makes the legs move... To walk one is required to
relate to the place where he is not – that the world is his domain
– and it is his because God gave it to him...
He
is carried by his spirit.
