What makes light
real? Why do we relate to it? Or to the intellect? It is the fact
that this knowledge and the pure light are similar – it is the
presence of the sun itself which is real – and the intellect is
base in the reality that there is a First Being that I relate to.
The 'flow from the
mentor/mashpia' is different from the 'light from the luminary'.
The mashpia presents
material that is universal. It does not depend on the
mashpia/mentor. Except there is a relationship between the
mashpia/mentor and his presentation – it is based on the way of his
essence... but it is not exactly like the essence, which cannot be
expressed.
The words of the
mashpia are coming from his reality. But as he gives the words they
go beyond him, like a stone in flight. This is different from the
way light works – light cleaves to its source.
Regarding light from
the luminary – 'it is like the essence' and cleaves to the essence.
The idea of the light is not to provide light, but to 'give the
luminary'.
