The
'intermediary level'/memutzah unifies the infinite light and world.
The infinite light stands for the essential reality and truth. In
our world there is no thing that does not need a source for its
being. We are 'world oriented' – a world is a created entity,
where each thing has a finite purpose and spirit. By contrast the
ein sof has no source. There is no place where it 'is not'.
And
vessels are created due to lack of light. And how they are created
is not seen.
An
intermediary can incorporate to vastly different levels. The ohr ein
sof cannot be put into a vessel. It has to be reduced into partial
representations, and then the combination of those vessels are
representative of the infinity.
A
solid vessel is appropriate to contain the kindness of water. They
are vastly different, but they complement each other.
