Ohr chozer is 'returning light'. Usually we observe things from the 'functional' perspective. We say, 'why is it here? What does it do?'

so we see things in their context. A context that has a meaning. This is limit and definition. This is the correct way to see things, since all represent the Godly truth and the function of each thing is true...

Then there is the perspective of ohr chozer (returning light). And this is the identification of something not by its overt purpose. It is the identification of something deeper than the obvious role in the existing context.

Ohr chozer is when things don't make sense and you dig in and find a way to relate. From where is this insight? It comes from the seat of real purpose. Purpose beyond the circumstantial.
