We
were saying that in spiritual influence, such as sechel/mind there
has to be a limit in terms of scope and definitions.
We
looked at what is meant by 'sechel/mind'. It is not easy for us, in
the modern world, where external sechel/mind is so influential to
identify real sechel. External sechel is not really sechel. It is
just the organization of the external/empirical elements of the word.
Inner
sechel/mind has its own perspective. The mind of man says that,
'when you eat you should sit in one place and not stuff your mouth'.
And there is nothing on the level of the activity itself that says
this. It is a 'mind' element not based on the activity, but based on
being a human being.
It
is true only for the human being and is not defined externally.
The
human being is in a different category from everything else. A
different calibre. Man was made as an individual, because every
human being is a whole world. Each has the soul insight of
respecting what he is as a Godly creation.
The
faculty of maskil/mind forces you to consider the correct way to
proceed. A human being doesn't just 'navigate' by bumping into
things and taking actions that he later finds distasteful.
