The
Rebbe is explaining the meditation of the animal soul as it focuses
on the Godliness that is in everything.
What
does it mean the essence is Godliness? Godliness means the absolute
truth. The element that does not have to be introduced. This is
what makes it worthy of attention. Why not just enjoy his own
experience? That's because he is a soul with sechel/mind and thus he
seeks reality.
That's
the only thing that interests the soul.
He
begins to identify the Godliness in every element he encounters in
the world.
He
draws close to the Godly light and dissociates from the physicality
of the world. Till he doesn't seek anything physical – his entire
will is towards Godliness. He desires the revelation of Godliness in
the world and within himself.
Till
he is involved with the world, but for a Godly purpose.
This
is 'unnatural' for the animal soul. He says, 'to heck with my
feelings, I want to find the truth...' And he is not coerced... he
makes his own way.
