The
light always remains connected to its source – to essence. The
levels of essential light are expressed by the three-fold repetition
of the word 'holy/kadosh'.
Life
is constant. But there is a level of life that is put into the body,
and this life needs to be maintained. In this context we say, 'I eat
so I will live' – this is a combination of body and soul. This is
the body experiencing life at its level.
The
light of the soul and the soul itself does not know there is such a
thing as eating.
But
where this light comes to the level of 'oh, I have to eat to live',
that is only where there is the situation of 'life/light in a
vessel'.
Yet
the 'light' element remains, even though one is conforming to the
physical requirement of needing food... So even though the body is
involved, life remains an 'ohr/light'. It is light dressed in a
vessel.
The
light 'understands' the vessel, and 'acts appropriately' for the
vessel.
The
vessel is refined by the light that comes into it...
So
the light becomes like the vessel and the vessel becomes like the
light...
The
reason the vessel can accept the light, and the hand can accept the
direction of the mind, and develop a symbiosis between mind and hand
(light and vessel) is due to the fact that it is one soul that is
dressed in the sechel and the hand... life itself is dressed in
both... the soul element is in mind and hand...
