Page
59 [of the pamphlet] At middle of the page – line starts:
'habligvul'. (P45 in the book)
The
tzimtzum consists of 2 steps. The removal of the infinite light is
followed by a reduction. What is reduced if there has been a
removal?
It
was just the revelation of the light that was removed in the
first tzimtzum. Then to go to the next stage and the creation of the
world you need a reduction of the remaining trace/roshem.
The
remaining trace which corresponds to chochmah is not eradicated, it
is just reduced so that the world can be created and come into focus.
If
you lose that trace you go somewhere else. Not into God's world.
Human
sight is a physical experience of his chochmah – it is not a plain
physical experience and this is why it remains – something you have
seen remains with you...
