The third judge has
knowledge in the realm that is not known.
The First Being
precedes creation, and that is certainly beyond the realm of knowing.
Only in the world of briah is there the start of such a thing as
knowledge...
Oneg/pleasure and
ratzon/will are not knowable. They are of the soul/nefesh.
In the mishnah there
is a discussion about two disputants. The discussion operates on the
knowable level talking of the produce, the ground and the space. The
one who resolved the dispute went to a level beyond the known. He
said, 'let us forget about the ground and the space, let's examine
who the produce was intended for'. And he asks, 'who's produce is
this by devine decree?' and thus he approaches it at the unknowable
level.
The Torah was given
for the earth, but it is not limited to the earth.
So the
inter-inclusion of 2 opposites is accomplished by the revelation of a
superior light.
Think of a guest at
the host's table. A meal is prepared and served. And the meal also
talks about their relationship. Yet, if the host was to leave, the
whole thing falls apart. Even though the meal represents the host it
is not him himself. The host is the essence. It cannot be
represented.
And what can unite
the fire and water as they are in the essence?
A higher light.
But what is this
higher light? The fire and water are in essence. The higher
light is what is behind the essential intention.
