We are looking at how
in full expression there can be bitul/nullification, that allows for
inter inclusion.
This occurs with the
revelation of the ohr elyon (superior light), which is the essence
element.
Essence is not
translated into anything – not love, not fear... it remains
atzmus/essence. And when essence is present all qualities fall into
insignificance, in the presence of this superior truth... truth does
not beg for an explanation of where it comes from and what it stands
for.
The truth of the
higher intention (emitis hakavanah ha-elyonah) is the only thing
recognized. This 'putting himself aside' is the relating to this
kavanah/intention of atzmus/essence.
There is such bitul,
that that which delights atzmus, delights him here below. This is
the shuv/return, where there is a sharing of the joy from above. For
this there has to be total personal bitul/nullification.
Intent/kavanah is
different from ratzon/will. Kavanah is more exclusively the essence.
There is nothing
'richer' than essence.
And this is not like
'falling in love'.
There are 10 sphirot
and then there is malchus – royalty – the lowest of the 10 – it
has nothing of its own, on the other hand everything finds completion
in malchus. All the other sphirot flow into malchus.
We see this in the
fact that the king is in his palace and is completely above the
people, yet at the same time the entire development of the nations is
only representative of the king. This is like the run and return in
that arena.
So we are saying
there is a union due to the revelation of the supreme light.
