How
does light come from essence? Essence has no concept of
gilui/revelation, yet light comes from it! A similar paradox is seen
with the soul. It is at essence remote from the concept of
giluim/revelations... it is above names and concepts... yet from it
come revelations! How? Anything that can be identified or has to
do with functionality, can be in 2 states - present and absent.
This is function or revelation.
The
soul provides life to the body... but how? The nefesh/soul does not
relate to non-life.
The
reality of a human being is that he occupies an essential position.
A life cannot be valued. The presence is what it is. This is its
greatest value. This is difficult to comprehend. It cannot be
conceived in worldly terms. Each human being is a whole world.
Humans are not a species. Recognition is need of the origin. The
Creator.
The
essence of fire, the elemental fire is not hot or light. For if not
so, it would burn up the entire world, because the fundamental fire
(the elemental fire) is everywhere. Yet still from the fundamental
fire comes forth the fire that illuminates and provides heat.
Our
mind works with definitions, and thus we cannot fully picture
something essential or elemental. Even the word truth, evades our
understanding. We look for a subject and then evaluate if it is
true. But the adjective true is based on truth! We
have to remember essence is a G-dly presence that He provides. It
is not a worldly state. It cannot be understood from a worldly
perspective.
